The unique piece as an indispensable philosophy.
Each one starts from a limited edition fusion, and is finished manually creating infinite variations that determines its uniqueness.
Every piece made in our atelier is special unto itself, especially made for the woman or man it was conceived for.
My pieces are inspired by nature in all its infinitely different characteristics.
Metals, stones and fabric
Through the use of goldsmith artistry, metals gives life to a collection of unique and innovative jewelry, full of symbolic and abstract values. The metal curves and shapes itself sinuously transporting us back, through a timeless mist, to the times of the goldsmith masters of the Roman, Etruscan and Celtic ages.
Traces of the past merge with the present in ornaments that reflects a ‘feeling’ and draws our eyes to the subtle details, which completes our daily journey. They’re everyday ornaments that come to life spontaneously from the meeting of organic and geometric shapes.
Jewelery with essential shapes, in silver and bronze, necklaces made with silk waste, amethyst, carnelian, citrine quartz, topaz, garnet set on handmade rings. Each object is designed and created by Glix, the creative mind of the atelier, who arrived at a kaleidoscope of shapes after a long aesthetic research.
Organic forms between water and earth, dream and reality.
Metal textures becomes read-to wear sculptures, like the “Ruffs” of ancient laces worn in Elizabethan England. The Glix collections are ornaments that arise from the love of nature. Modeled and crafted in the tradition of the ancient goldsmiths, which dates back to the origins of man.
Laden with symbols linked to Mediterranean and Arabian cultures, these pieces are an expression of creativity that is suggested through the ages in art, design and architecture.
Using the techniques of traditional jewelry smiths, silver is intricately designed, rounded and cut. These designs give life to finely cut and decorated surfaces, while interacting with light.
They are everyday ornaments that come to life almost spontaneously from the union of organic and geometric shapes. Glix’s pieces are Influenced by Arab minarets and abstract Mediterranean decorations.
The elaboration of these pieces is a process of continuous overlapping of the imaginary and the real. From this overlap, are born objects with an undertone of the materials used, giving the allure of a fairy-like appearance. In which the natural element blends with the oniric one.
The intricacies we find in surfaces, such as tree bark, embroidery, berries, water ripples, intertwined branches and stones, all evoke nature’s forms, and are interpreted in Glix’s pieces.
Surfaces, replicate motifs similar to tentacles, fossils, like legendary creatures that emerge from the memory of ancient myths.
In praise of manual skills.
It is the will of one’s hand that helps create intricate skills. These jewels break free from the constraint of aesthetic rigor in favor of a more spontaneous, sculptural and instinctive manual skill.
Glix Atelier’s jewels are born from observation of the world and nature, revealing a masterful manual skill.
